The coat racks are definitely useful for homes that have limited space. It provides immediate hanging ability for clothes and now it is also being used in bedrooms and even bathrooms.

There are plenty of materials that can be used to make the coat racks. There are coat racks made from metal, plastic and certainly, the wood. Plastic coat racks are apparently lighter and have water resistance thus more suitable for outdoor usage. Metal coat racks, however, are preferably used by houses with modern designs. But they are much heavier and tend to rust after a period of time. Coat racks made of wood use the materials of either hardwood or softwood. The examples of hardwood comes from trees include oak, teak or maple while softwood is made from pine, cedar, larch and fir. The racks can either be left natural, tinted or stained style.

If your house has limited space you may opt for the wall mounted wood coat rack but if your house is pretty spacious the coat rack stand may be a better choice. It depends on your preferred functions and personal taste. Comparatively, wooden racks are more affordable than the other two materials. If you are leading a green life then wooden racks are the appropriate option as they are made of renewable resources compared to plastics and metals.

Furthermore, if given sufficient care, coat racks made of wood can be more lasting than the plastic or metal racks. If the wood is a good quality wood, your rack is even possible to last you a lifetime. Besides giving a timeless conventional and classic look, the wooden racks can also add sophistication and elegance to your home.
