www.duncanmacgibbon.com for more detail information! If you’re a woodworker you’re probably familiar with the challenge of finding suitable plans for wood projects. Depending on how complex the wood project plans are, the average price for many plans runs from about .00 to .00, and up. Most of the really seasoned woodworkers I know hardly ever buy project plans anymore, but the really exceptional one’s always draw out their own plan to follow. I’ve also noticed that most of them have a stash of plans filed away somewhere that they’ve worked on in the past, and can reference when needed. If you’re brand new to woodworking, or are still somewhat of a novice, your wood project plan will be an important part of your woodworking project. Not having a good set of project plans can result in wasted material as well as time. That can get really expensive really fast. So, it is my strong recommendation to first find a good set of plans to use before starting a project. Also, start with relatively easy wood project plans; you don’t want to get in over your head or skill level. Woodworking can be an incredibly enjoyable pursuit, but it can also be very frustrating when things go wrong. Another big time saver when it comes to woodworking plans is the fact that most plans include a materials list and stock list. If you’re not familiar with a stock list, it is a table listing every wooden part necessary including dimensions to construct your project. Knowing what materials and …

An update to the previous videos about the router table fence. I now have a dozen or so interchange-able plates for the different router bits I run. My new router table fence made from 10/4 poplar. That’s 2 1/2 inches thick. I drilled a 4 inch hole thru it, and cut an arch into the face of it to allow suction thru the front where the action is. I may add a hole thru the table and connect it to the bottom side of the table to suck up the pieces that go downwards. I attached it with draw bolts (for under counter tops). This worked out well, I don’t need to hold the bottom while I loosen, or tighten the bolts. It has interchangeable face plates of varying thicknesses too. I run the ands of the face plates past the router bit I am using with the t-square to make a perfect fit around the bits. No place for the piece to slip into the bit this way. This is all mounted right in my tablesaw drop table. I made a t-square channel, and a featherboard chanel. I also wired in a switch so I don’t have to open the door to turn the router on and off. The 3 1/4 HP adjustable speed router makes a HUGE difference also.
