If I place rose petals on a bed or carpet will they bleed?

I am wanting to decorate a hotel room, but I do not want the roses to bleed on the carpet or bed. I was planning on purchasing them at a florist. Should I just buy fake ones to be safe? Thanks!

bought new home ripped up carpet & found pet stain on boards any cleaning tips w/o ruining wood?

What should I do in order to protect carpet from a woodworking project?
